A Chara, - I wish to protest about the totally inadequate bus service called the 27B which runs from Liberty Hall to Castletimon on the northside of Dublin. More often than not this bus turns up late, if it turns up at all.encouraging people to use public transport.
Also, there is overuse of KC Bombardier single-deck buses on the 27B, which, apart from being very old, are very uncomfortable and are often full, especially at peak times.
I fully support the Kilmore residents who have had to resort to picketing Clontarf bus garage to try to get the service improved. It is outrageous that some city centre workers are in danger of losing their jobs over punctuality.
Unfortunately, the poor drivers - on the 27B get most of the abuse from passengers, even though it is not their fault that the service is so bad. As a frequent bus passenger myself I can see that the job that these men and women do entails a great deal of perseverance and understanding. Is mise le meas,
