Sir, - What has Bob Dylan done? No sooner is there a suggestion that he is worthy of consideration as a poet, than the guardians of restriction charge headlong to their clumsy barricades to deny him entry. Surely, after 35 years, Mr Dylan's eminent body of work deserves better than a cheap shot from an apparent apostle of rigidism.
Hopefully, Mr Dylan will continue for many more years on his unique journey and leave the elitists to rant and rave in the wilderness. - Yours, etc.
