Sir, - Heather Ingman's observation (An Englishwoman's Diary, April 22nd) that RTÉ broadcasts only the bells of the Angelus and not the actual words reminds me of a conversation I had with a former school friend a few years after leaving school.
I admitted that I didn't know "my" Angelus. He said "Don't you? I know my twelve o'clock one all right but I don't know my six o'clock one".
At least I knew what I didn't know. - Yours, etc.,
