Madam, - In your edition of December 6th (Education Today, Teacher's Pet) the following appears:
"What, if anything, are we to make of this stuff about Bernadine O'Sullivan (above) 'challenging' the appointment of Diarmuid De Paor as next deputy general secretary of the Asti?"
For the benefit of your readers I wish to point out that on Friday, December 2nd, I was contacted by your newspaper and in response to direction questions on the matter I clearly advised that I do not intend to challenge the proposed appointment.
Therefore I was surprised and disappointed at the article in question. - Yours, etc,
