Madam, – May I urge readers to read, savour, reflect on, and memorise Dennis O'Driscoll's poem Paper Trail in Weekend Review (December 18th).
The sensitivities of a poet have been put at our disposal to make sense of the money crisis. All the verbose commentary that has appeared does not match the density of content, the mastery of language and the courage of forthright expression deployed in this poem.
His play with words like “cursor” and “purchase” are brilliant. – Yours, etc,
