Sir, – I was delighted to read of the installation of two bee-hives in the National Botanic Gardens in Glasnevin (Home News, April 16th). I hope there are more beehives to follow. Your reporter failed to mention whether the honey produced will be available to purchase.
As a fan of Irish honey, I know it is increasingly difficult to source. It would also would be good if the public were allowed to buy the fruit and vegetables grown in the walled garden. The OPW could probably do with the extra revenue! – Yours, etc,
