Sir, – If Minister for Health Dr James Reilly really wants to leave a legacy, why not ban soft drinks, probably the greatest contributor to our endemic obesity problem? I fear it will be another 100 years before we see plain packaging on soft drinks warning of the serious health risks. Classic, sophisticated marketing gimmicks can fool even the greatest intellects.
