An article about a dispute between a property partnership of 27 people and Ulster Bank Ireland Ltd published in last Tuesday’s edition incorrectly stated the partnership is being sued for € 3.48 million by Ulster Bank at the Commercial Court.

In fact, the 27 people practising as the Birr partnership had brought proceedings against the Bank claiming it is not entitled to seek repayment of capital from them and its recourse is confined to a first charge over certain property. The Bank successfully applied this week to have the case transferred to the Commercial Court . It claims the parties are in dispute about an agreement of 2008 and contends the plaintiffs owe it € 3.48 million.

A picture caption in last Tuesday's edition said that the Druid's production of Big Maggiewill run in Galway's Town Hall Theatre next month before a State-wide tour next year. It is undertaking a State- wide tour immediately after the Galway run.

The authors of a book on traditional boats in Galway profiled in the edition of October 17th wish to clarify that the wooden currach is still in use in south Connemara. As reported in the feature, it is only on the Aran islands that more modern glass-reinforced polyester currachs are becoming more prevalent than either the wooden or canvas currachs.
