An article in yesterday’s edition, concerning the remanding of a youth for stealing cars quoted Judge Catherine Staines saying that she would impose a custodial sentence.
In fact, Judge Staines remanded the accused in custody for the preparation of a report to assess his suitability for supervision, following his release from detention. She did not state what her decision would be in the case.
