Worldspreads has signed a new deal with Ladbrokes to provide financial spread betting services to the gaming firm.

The deal, which was signed with Worldspreads' UK subsidiary, will see the company provide an online trading service to Ladbrokes, offering financial spread bets on stock indices, individual shares, currencies, commodities and interest rates.

Worldspreads chief executive Conor Foley said the the partnership was consistent with the company's long-term growth strategy to form alliances with companies that have complementary client databases.

"Spread betting is an increasingly popular choice for people wishing to bet on financial markets and we believe there is significant potential for a brand like Ladbrokes to extend its appeal to the broader betting and gaming market," said Ladbrokes chief executive Christopher Bell.
