Swiss train crash leaves 44 injured

Incident involving two trains occurred at Granges-prés-Marnand

Forty-four people have been injured in a head-on train collision between in western Switzerland.

Four of those injured were seriously hurt and one person has yet to be recovered from the wreckage, police spokesman Pierre-Olivier Gaudard said.

The crash happened on a regional line about 50 km southwest of the capital, Bern.

Photographs showed the two regional trains locked together but still on the tracks.
