Video: ‘Bad Santa’ robs post office in Melbourne

A man dressed in Santa Claus suit and sunglasses robbed a post office in Melbourne this morning, escaping with a quantity of cash in a red sack.

According to Victoria police, the man entered the post office in Oak Park area of the city about 11:30am (local time) and demanded money from a female member of staff.

He took a quantity of cash, placed it in the sack and left the scene in a cream-coloured four-wheel drive vehicle with what police said were false number plates.

The man did not appear to be armed and no one was injured in the incident.

In a statement the Victoria police department said: "He's known for making a list and checking it twice, however Santa is now appearing on a list of his own."
