Many PAYE workers are owed refunds from Revenue because they are not claiming all tax credits and allowances they are entited to.
The Irish Taxation Institute (ITI) is this week trying to raise awareness of the fact that many workers not aware of their entitlements.
Tax Return Week also aims to encourage people to submit the necessary information to their tax advisers in sufficient time to prepare tax returns.
The campaign will focus on issues such as what tax credits and relief people may be eligible for, how and when to file tax returns, general tax tips for consumers and how to use the online tax return system.
