Woman killed in Derry crash named

A female pedestrian who died following a car crash in the Westland Street area of Derry has been named as Patricia Duffy.

A female pedestrian who died following a car crash in the Westland Street area of Derry has been named as Patricia Duffy.

The one-vehicle collision happened at about 10.30am yesterday close to the junction of
Westland Street and Rossville Street.

Ms Duffy was from Lisfannon Park and was a keen bowler.

The pensioner was returning from Mass at St Columba's Chapel, Longtower, which
she attended daily, when the collision occurred.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.
