A woman (29) is recovering in hospital in the North today following a serious assault last night.
The woman was seriously injured after being beaten by a masked gang at a house in Newtownards, Co Down at about 10pm.
Four men wearing balaclavas forced their way into the house in Blenheim Drive and assaulted the woman with baseball bats. The gang ransacked the property and broke a number of windows before leaving.
The woman's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
