Taunton - A 26-year-old woman was being held in custody last night after her boyfriend died from a stab wound to his heart. Somerset police refused to confirm reports that the woman had told detectives that the victim, the son of a bishop, had been fatally injured during a sex game.

Mr Peter Lewis (26) was found by paramedics in a flat in Taunton, Somerset, after the alarm was raised at 12.30a.m. today by Ms Justine Cummings. He was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton where he died from his injury.

According to reports, Mr Lewis had to be cut free from handcuffs before being taken to hospital.

His father, the Right Rev Richard Lewis, Bishop of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich, was reported to be devastated.
