A 20-year-old woman was killed when the car in which she was travelling went out of control and hit a ditch on the outskirts of Cork city yesterday.
Elizabeth McEvoy from Model Farm Road in Cork, was fatally injured in the single vehicle crash at Ballinveltig, Curraheen Road shortly after 12.15am.
Ms McEvoy was a front-seat passenger. The driver of the car was treated in hospital for minor injuries.
