Customs officials at Dublin Airport yesterday detained a woman believed to be a South African national who was carrying an estimated £30,000 worth of cannabis. She was detained overnight at Santry Garda station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act under which a suspect may be held for seven days.
