A WOMAN has appeared before the courts to face charges in relation to a stolen payment card used to buy vouchers and clothes at a number of retailers across Dublin.

Constanta Colciu (33), with an address at Ashfield Avenue, Kingswood Heights, Tallaght, Dublin, appeared before Judge Patrick Moran at Blanchardstown District Court.

The accused, who is originally from Romania, was charged in relation to the use of a stolen laser card and Pin number.

The card was used to buy “One For All” vouchers at Ballyfermot post office, valued at €504. A further €2,043 was spent on the card buying clothes at House of Fraser in Dundrum shopping centre, in south Dublin.

Another batch of vouchers valued at €504 was purchased at Walkinstown post office, and clothing purchases to the value of €285 were made at Diffneys in Blackrock shopping centre.

All of the transactions occurred on Saturday, November 7th.

The card was stolen from a woman in the northwest of the country a number of weeks ago and had been used to make the purchases before she noticed it was missing.
