Limerick gardai want to interview two men who they are certain witnessed the murder of another.

Mr Michael Fitzpatrick (19) was fatally stabbed outside a pub in Southill on Friday, June 25th. He had just left the pub at 11.40 p.m. A man was arrested several days later and a file is being prepared for the DPP.

Det Sgt Tom O'Connor, Roxboro, said yesterday they were certain these two men saw the stabbing incident. One was watching from the steps on the way down to a chip shop and the other was walking from the road.

The men are in their early to mid-20s and gardai are appealing to them to come forward.
