LIMERICK

The Make a Move Hip Hop festival promises to be a real community affair in Limerick city this weekend. It features some international artists but the real stars will be the local performers. makeamove.ie

MAYO

The Elverys Sports Achill half marathon takes place tomorrow and more than 2,500 runners are expected. A donation from the proceeds goes towards the ISPCC, and a range of entertainment is also planned. achillmarathon.com

ANTRIM

Ireland's largest game fair and country sports event takes place in Shane's Castle tomorrow and Sunday from 10am to 6pm. It features an angling village, clay shooting, dog competitions, and medieval sports. Admission is £5-25. irishgamefair.com

CORK

Sailors from all over the world will gather in Crosshaven for Cork Week, which begins tomorrow. As well as yacht racing, there's a host of entertainment laid on, from DJs to live music. Tomorrow and Sunday will feature free family entertainment from 11am to 5pm. corkweek.ie

MEATH

Calling itself the only festival of its type outside Iran, the Swift Satire Festival takes place in Trim this weekend and features David McSavage, Dara O Briain, Paddy Cullivan and others. swiftsatirefestival.com

CAVAN

Johnnie's Britches, a comedy by PG O'Dea runs tonight, tomorrow and Sunday at the Ramor Theatre in Virginia, Cavan, before touring. Tickets are €16/18. 049-8547074, ramortheatre.com

CLARE

On the go since 1973, the annual Willie Clancy Festival at Milltown Malbay begins tomorrow and runs until July 15th. The daily music classes and workshops remain a big draw and feature some of the best musicians in the country. Registration for six classes costs €140. willieclancyfestival.com

CORK

The Kinsale Arts Festival begins tomorrow. Highlights include several food events, a theatrical production of The Picture of Dorian Gray and outdoor street entertainment. Runs until July 15th. kinsaleartsfestival.com

DUBLIN

Tomorrow night, Riona Sally Hartman and her band play the Kevin Barry room at the National Concert Hall. Tickets are €10, 8.30pm. nch.ie

KERRY

Every day at 11am there are two-hour guided walks of the Killarney National Park. No booking is required and the price is €9 for adults, €5 for children. The meeting point is outside O’Sullivan’s bike shop at the end of New Street.
