Dublin

Dublin

Blackhall Street is closed until the end of July for reconstruction of the carriageway by Dublin Corporation. Traffic on Queen Street will be diverted via Benburb Street and Blackhall Place. Traffic on Blackhall Place will divert via North King Street and Queen Street. Benburb Street is one-way from Temple Street to Blackhall Place. Expect delays on the junction of Cork Street and Ardee Street between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The Old Belgard Road is closed to through traffic until July 3rd for excavation works. The works are taking place south of the junction with the link road leading to the Walkinstown Road junction.

South King Street will remain closed until the end of July. Traffic on Capel Street Bridge has been reduced to two lanes until further notice.

Roadworks are under way on the Stillorgan Road (N11) at Knocksinna. Traffic disruptions are likely.

The Davitt Road (Grand Canal) is closed to inbound traffic and will be one-way out of town from Suir Bridge to Naas Road junction. Traffic will not be able to access the Grand Canal from the Naas Road. Inbound traffic from the M50 should go via the Lucan Road or via the Longmile Road from the Naas Road.

Meath

Work has commenced on the R154 Trim-Dublin road at Tullaghmedan (on the Warren stown side of Batterjohn Cross). A single-lane traffic system is in operation. The work will go on for several months.

Cork The Lower Glanmire Road will be closed to inbound traffic between Tivoli and Water Street until September. Diversions are via Silversprings Lane, North Ring Road and Blackpool bypass. No access to Middle Glanmire Road from Colmcille Avenue.

Roadworks will take place on the N72 Mallow-Killarney road between Cullen and Rathmore until mid-July. Diversions via Millstreet for heavy vehicles and buses. Expect delays.

Cornmarket Street is one-way northbound between Castle Street and Kyle Street until the end of June. Traffic is reduced to a single lane on Carr's Hill, Douglas, with roadworks and temporary lights in place.

Surface dressing works will be in progress in both the Mallow and Mitchelstown areas for the coming weeks.

Lane restrictions are in place on Merchant's Quay between Parnell Place and St Patrick's Bridge for drainage works. Delays are likely on Lower Glanmire Road.

Kerry Major roadworks are ongoing on the N21 Tralee-Limerick road between Tralee and Castleisland. There are temporary traffic lights in place.

Clare

Road realignment works are in place on the R472, Newmarket-on-Fergus to Shannon. The works are related to the N18 Newmarket-on-Fergus bypass, which will be under construction until January 2002.

Tipperary

Ongoing roadworks are in place on the N24, the main Limerick-Waterford route, at Greenside in Carrick-on-Suir until 2002.

Limerick

Clancy Strand is down to one lane until July.

Galway

Pipe-laying works are creating long delays on the Caherwalter-Dublin Road in Loughrea.

Roscommon

Roadworks and temporary lights are in place on the N61, north of Tulsk until mid-July.

Monaghan

Resurfacing works are underway on the N2, about one mile north of Carrickmacross, and delays may be experienced until mid-July.

Derry

At the A2 Craigavon Bridge there will be narrow lanes due to roadworks both ways.

Donegal

Roadworks continue on the N56 on the Mountcharles bypass. Expect delays of five to 10 minutes at the traffic lights at the eastern approach to Mountcharles.
