Dublin

Dublin

Northbound traffic to Belfast and Balbriggan is being diverted to the new N1 between the Five Roads and Rowans Road until further notice. Southbound traffic will still travel via the existing N1. A temporary road closure will be in place at Marino Park Avenue until mid-August.

There will be roadworks at Merrion Road; Milltown Bridge; Parnell Square East and Morehampton Road; on the Artane roundabout; Clonliffe Road; Griffith Avenue between the junctions of Mobhi Road and the Swords Road and between Grace Park Road and Philipsburgh Avenue; the Navan Road quality bus corridor; on Swords Road between the Regency Hotel and Collins Avenue; Church Road, Killiney; on Carrickbrennan/Mounttown Road; on Main Street Dundrum/Ballinteer Road and Kilmacud Road and the Dundrum carpark.

A new roundabout is being constructed on Jamestown Road at the Poppintree Industrial Estate. Leopardstown Road has been reopened to two-way traffic from Whites Cross to the Brewery Road Roundabout.

Limerick

There are roadworks on the N7 (Limerick-Dublin road) from Sallymount to Daly's Cross and at Hassett's Cross. There is a no through road from Athlunkard Street to Baal's Bridge via Sir Harry's Mall. Access to Sir Harry's Mall from Athlunkard Street is limited to business and residential traffic. Kildare Shaw Bridge, Kilcock, is closed to heavy vehicles. An alternative route via Maynooth/Barberstown Cross is available for those travelling via Kilcock to Clane or Naas.

Cork

There are gas works on John St Upper, with one-way traffic between John Redmond Street and Roman Street; and there is work on Friars Walk from St Patrick's Road and Mount Sion Road. The Tower-Blarney Road is closed. A section of South Main Street between its junctions with Liberty Street and Washington Street is closed. There are roadworks on Bishopstown Road between the regional hospital and Bishopstown pub. The roads between Lombards town and Gortroe in Mallow and Paul Street between Cornmarket Street and St Paul's Avenue are closed.

Meath

The Kentstown, Navan Road, R153, is closed from the junction with the Boyne Road to the junction with Casey's Cross. The N1 has a traffic diversion a mile south of the Mosney junction. There are traffic-calming measures in Enfield on the N4.

Westmeath

There is roadwork at the Canal Bridge at the junction of the Dublin road, N4, and the Delvin road (N52).

Roscommon

Traffic on the N4 Dublin-Sligo road is diverted onto the new road over the Curlew Mountain and traffic is diverted north of Boyle.

Donegal

There are roadworks on the Ballybofey road. New traffic lights have been introduced on the N15, north of Donegal town.

Rail information

Because of refurbishment at Connolly Station, Dublin, a temporary pedestrian entrance and exit has been erected at Sheriff Street Bridge, opposite the North Star Hotel.
