The State's second-largest union, the Amalgamated Transport and General Workers' Union, has told the ICTU that a special delegate conference should be held to seek additional pay rises under Partnership 2000 if inflation continues to rise. "Workers should not be made scapegoats for failed Government policy," the ATGWU's Irish secretary, Mr Mick O'Reilly, said yesterday.
