Tokyo - At least 26 people were killed in southern Japan yesterday as Typhoon Bart, with winds of up to 144 k.p.h., slowly moved north.
The National Police Agency said 12 people died when high waves overwhelmed a breakwater in Japan's south-western island of Kyushu.
