Two Turkish hostages were released unharmed in Iraq today a day after being abducted in the city of Falluja, the Turkish embassy in Baghdad said.

It said engineers Mr Tarkan Arikoglu and Mr Adnan Azizoglu, who worked for a Turkish firm called Serka, had gone to their local office after their release, and the company had informed the embassy.
