It was lucky 13 for two ticket holders in the north and south of the country who matched all six numbers in the Lotto draw last night.

It was the 13th draw since the last jackpot winner and the pair will now share a pot of just over €14m.

One of the winning tickets was sold in Smith's SuperValu in Kinsale.

The last time the Lotto jackpot reached near this level was in October when, after 16  draws, a Dublin man who bought his ticket in Donnybrook Fair in Dublin 4 won €16,390,239, making him the third largest jackpot winner since the Lotto game began in 1988.

The number drawn were 15 21 23 25 44 and 45 and the bonus number was 10 and the jackpot total was €14,037,236.
