Two killed in overnight road collisions

An 18-year-old man died after the car in which he was travelling struck a tree in Co Cork early this morning.

The man is believed to have lost control of the vehicle on the road near Mitchelstown.

No one else was hurt in the incident. The victim’s name has not yet been released. Elsewhere 26-year-old man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a car in Co Limerick. The collision occurred near Moyross at 10 p.m. last night.

The car’s four occupants were not seriously injured in the incident. The victim’s name has not been released.
