Two men have appeared in court charged in connection with the discovery of cocaine with an estimated street value of €3 million last Friday.

Arthur Conroy (24), of Violet Hill Park, Glasnevin, Dublin 11 and Eric Wynne (23), of Portland Place, Lower Dorset Street, Dublin 1, appeared in court in Blanchardstown charged with the unlawful possession of a controlled drug contrary to the Misuse of Drugs Act 1977.

The men were also charged with possession for the purpose of selling or otherwise supplying it to another in contravention of the Misuse of Drugs Regulations 1988 and 1993.

The men were arrested after a house was searched in Glasnevin, Dublin 11, last week.

Mr Conroy was remanded with consent to bail - with a recognisance of €200.

Both men were remanded to Cloverhill Prison to appear in Cloverhill Courthouse on Friday September 18th.
