Two men were injured in separate stabbings in Dublin last night.

Two men were injured in separate stabbings in Dublin last night.

A man in his 30s was stabbed on Fassaugh Avenue in Cabra in north Dublin at about 10.20pm. He was taken to the Mater Hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

A 26-year-old woman was arrested and detained at Blanchardstown Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act. She was later released without charge.

In a separate incident a man in his 40s was stabbed at about 11.30pm at a house on Hamilton Way in Balbriggan. He was taken to Beaumont Hospital.

A woman in her 30s was arrested and taken to Coolock Garda station. She was released without charge this morning.

Gardaí are investigating both assaults and files are being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
