Two dead, two injured in Carlow car crash

Two people have died and two more were injured following a collision on the N80 road.

The incident happened at around 6 p.m. on the main Carlow to Wexford just outside the Co Carlow village of Ballon.

There were two cars involved.

The two dead people, a man and a woman, were travelling in the same car.

The two injured people, also a man and a woman, were in the other car. They have been taken to St Lukes hospital in Kilkenny, where their condition is not thought to be serious.
