The boys, both aged 16, were found guilty of the manslaughter of 15-year-old Johnny Delaney by a jury at Chester Crown Court.

The victim, who lived on a Travellers' site in Liverpool, was kicked about the head following an altercation between his friends and a group of youths in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, in May.

The two defendants, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were found not guilty of murder. Sentencing was adjourned for three weeks.
