Two men are due before Belfast Magistrates Court tomorrow charged with assisting the people who killed 25-year-old Mr David Cupples, who died on Christmas Day, two days after receiving serious head injuries in an attack.

Mr Cupples, from the Braniel Estate in east Belfast, was attacked on Clifton Park Avenue in the north of the city.He was a civilian worker at Girdwood Army base and was attacked while on his way to work.

He was buried today after a funeral at Tullycarnet Presbyterian Church.

The two men also face a second charge of withholding information in relation to the attempted murder of prominent loyalist Mr John Greg between December 20th and 29th this year.
