Investment firm TVC said it has become the largest single shareholder in UTV Media after it purchased an 11 per cent stake for £14.9 million sterling.
TVC said the investment reflects its strategy of "significant stakes" in public and private companies.
At its first agm since its flotation last week, TVC's executive chairman Shane Reihill said it was in talks with two listed UK companies and was planning to invest €15 million and €25 million in each company.
TVC holds a 27.1 per cent stake in Norkom, the Irish company listed on Dublin's IEX and London's AIM markets.
TVC shares opened unchanged at €0.87 on the Iseq this morning.
