Okay. So, tomorrow is Valentine's, and you haven't bought a single thing and there is nothing in the fridge for that romantic dinner. What you need is the Terroirs troubleshooters, right now. And, True to form, Sean and Francoise Gilley are there to save your romance, with their special Valentine's Day offer, which includes: a jar of Goose Foie Gras from Castaing (100g); a jar of Chicken with Tarragon Sauce (two large pieces) from Ferme Saint Christophe (just heat up and serve with rice or pasta); a box of Chocolats Cluizel 125G; and a bottle of Marc Kreydenweiss organic Riesling 1996 which would pair well with the foie gras and the chicken.

All these delectable items are presented in a smart, wooden box, priced £58. One day's notice is needed to prepare orders (get on the phone now!), and deliveries are possible. And if you have the chance to loiter down to Donnybrook, do note that on Valentine's day Terroirs will be open from 12.30-2 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. A glass of Champagne will be offered to all "love birds" on the day.

A little further down the road, Grainne Murphy in the Douglas Food Co is another who could save your romance. Along with a range of romantic gift packs and Valentine's cakes, Murphy also offers a special Valentine's menu, where you can choose from starters such as chicken jardiniere terrine, smoked trout mousse or pear and roquefort tartlet, from main courses such as Chinese sesame pork, beef stroganoff and others, and desserts such as white chocolate and praline mousse, blueberries and lemon in filo and chocolate marquis - all to take away. A bottle of red or white wine comes with the dinner, and the price is £26.95.
