Beijing - China yesterday executed three men for their involvement in a series of dormitory blasts which killed 108 people in northern China last month, writes Miriam Donohoe.

The executions bring to more than 400 confirmed executions in China this month as part of the authorities "strike hard" campaign against crime. Jin Ruchao (41), who confessed to setting off the explosions on March 16th in the industrial city of Shijiazhuang, was shot along with Wang Yushun and Hao Fengqin after the high court of northern Hebei province rejected their appeals.
