Three killed on roads at weekend

A motorcyclist died in an accident near Rush, Co Dublin last night. The man, in his twenties and from Swords, lost control of his bike and crashed into a wall on the Rush to Lusk road at about 11.10 pm.

A man was killed in a two-car collision in Cavan early on Saturday morning. Mr Terence McAdam (28), Caulfield, Cootehill, was involved in the accident at Pollamore, Cavan, at about 3.30 a.m.

Earlier that night, a pedestrian was hit and killed by a car at Knockloughlin in Longford. Mr Patrick Flood was in his 70s and was from Carradooey, Co Longford.
