Three killed in motorcycle accidents

THREE men, all in their early 20s and riding motor cycles, were killed in two separate road accidents yesterday.

The first occurred at about 1 a.m. four miles from Wexford town, where a motorcycle and a car were in collision. The motorcycle driver and pillion passenger were killed. They are Nicholas Roche from Foulksmills, Co Wexford and Anthony Murphy, of Barntown, Co Wexford.

A Garda spokesman said it was not established which of the two men was driving the motorcycle. The car driver was not seriously injured.

The other accident happened at Dangan, Thomastown, Co Kilkenny, yesterday morning when a motorcyclist died after a collision with a car. He was Eugene Kelly (23), of Station Road, Thomastown. Gardai said the motorist was uninjured.
