Three men have been killed in an overnight road accident in Dungannon in County Tyrone.

Three men have been killed in an overnight road accident in Dungannon in County Tyrone.

The three were travelling in a car when it hit a wall on the Beech Valley Road at around 4am this morning.

The trio, all in their 20s and from Dungannon, died at the scene.

No other vehicle was involved.

Police forensic officers were examining the scene this morning in an attemptto discover what caused the crash, which happened on the relatively straightstretch of road on the outskirts of the town.

The junction of the Manse Road and Windmill Road, close to the scene of theaccident, remained closed while the investigation continued.

The latest fatalities bring the death toll on Northern Ireland's roads to 54so far this year. A total of 41 people were killed in the same period lastyear.
