Three gardaí were injured last night when their patrol car crashed in south Dublin.

It is understood the car hit an icy patch on the N11 at Loughlinstown last night.

It then skidded across the dual-carriageway, crashed through the median and rolled a number of times, eventually coming to a halt in the south-bound lane.

There were no other cars involved and the patrol car was not in pursuit at the time of the crash.
