The People in Need Trust has announced allocation of the £4.1 million raised for charities by Telethon '98. Over 780 charities will benefit, with grants ranging from £200 to £40,000.
Nearly £1.1 million will go to a range of services including rape crisis centres, hospices and social services. Just over £1 million will go to people with disabilities; £794,000 goes to children and youth; £513,000 to family resource centres; £406,500 to the elderly and £209,500 to the homeless.
