A 17-year-old youth has been remanded in custody after he was charged yesterday with the murder of a man who died after a stabbing earlier this year at a house in Blarney, Co Cork.

The youth, who cannot be named, was charged with the murder of Shannon Ruby (30) at Ard Na Greine, Station Road, on September 26th last at Cork District Court.

Det Garda Maurice Leahy said the youth made no reply to the charge when it was put to him after caution. Judge Con O’Leary remanded him to appear in court on Friday.
