Teenager and man killed in crashes

A teenager and a man in his fifties have been killed in separate road crashes.

A 16-year-old died in Cootehill, Co Cavan after the car he was driving left the road at 11pm. No other vehicle was involved.

And in Co Meath a man in his fifties died after the bicycle he was riding collided with a parked car in Enfield shortly after noon today.

Separately, the man killed in a crash at Hackballscross, Co Louth yesterday has been named as Padraig McCluskey (36) of Littlemills, Dundalk, Co Louth.

A second man killed yesterday has also been named. Damien Pelletier (30) with an address at Rossvale, Portlaoise, was killed in a crash at Togher, Portlaoise, Co Laois yesterday.
