This charming puzzle-based game teams cartoon-style graphics with challenging brain teasers. Players take on the role of Jacob. He has been deposited at summer camp by his parents, who hope it might force him to make a few friends. That's where Jacob meets the aforementioned bigfoot, and the adventure begins. The puzzles are obviously the focal point. You need to solve them (or most of them) to progress, and while some aren't up to the standard of the others, there's enough variety to make sure that you will keep striving for the next teaser. There are items to seek out and collect throughout the levels; they will come in handy to should you meet a fiendishly difficult puzzle and need a few hints. You'll also earn credits as you solve each one. Episode one is a bit of scene setter for the rest of the series, so the remaining episodes should be more focused on the developing story. Jacob Jones strikes the right note of humour; taken with the colourful graphics, the game has a certain charm. Hopefully this will be a series worth following.
