Stockholm - A train travelling through central Sweden hit a herd of reindeer and killed at least 60 of the animals, the daily newspaper, Aftonbladet, said yesterday.
The herd's owner, Mr Oerjan Aahren, told the paper the train was travelling at between 56 and 62 miles an hour through the Sundsvall region. "The reindeer had no chance of getting off the track," he said.
