A police officer was killed and another injured this morning in a car bomb attack in northern Spain's Basque region. The armed separatist group ETA is suspected.
The blast occurred in Hernani close to the town of San Sebastian, at around 0:40 a.m. (23.40 GMT yesterday) when the officers were inspecting an illegally parked car.
Officer Inaki Totorika Vega (25) died of his injuries two hours after the blast.
This brings the death toll blamed on ETA this year to four.
