Soham suspects Mr Ian Huntley and Ms Maxine Carr have appeared at the Old Bailey in London in connection with next week's murder trial.

The parents of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman were also at the pre-trial hearing. Details of the hearing cannot be reported for legal reasons.

Mr Huntley (29), and his former girlfriend Ms Carr (26), will both return to the court on Monday next week for the start of the trial.

Mr Huntley, the former caretaker at Soham Village College in Cambridgeshire, denies the murder of the two Soham schoolgirls last year.
