Nuisance calls have forced the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Ireland to drop its free help line and replace it with a line charging 11p per call. The society says it was receiving large numbers of nuisance calls on the freephone line but that these have ceased since it switched to the new line.
The new telephone number is 1850 233 233. The charge is 11p regardless of the duration of the call.
