Six of the seven men arrested yesterday in Northern Ireland by police investigating criminal activities of loyalist paramilitaries have been released without charge.

Four of the men were arrested in the Waterside area of Derry; one in Coleraine, Co Derry; and one each in Ballymoney and Mosside, Co Antrim.

A Police Service of Northern Ireland spokesman said the men were being questioned as part of an ongoing investigation into the criminal activities of loyalist paramilitaries.
