Ms Karen McGlinchey alleged today certain gardai in Donegal  "blackmailed, coerced and manipulated" her sister, Adrienne, and that she was never willing involved in explosives finds made by two gardai.

Speaking on RTÉ radio this afternoon Ms Karen McGlinchey also denied that her sister had been a Garda informer. "[Adrienne] had nothing to inform about," she said. "She always denied she was a member of the IRA or an informer."

And she denied that her sister was either an attention seeker or a "Walter Mitty character". Ms Karen McGlinchey said the finding in the Interim Morris Report showed that Adrienne McGlinchy's
explanation of the alleged explosive finds had been corroborated by a number of other tribunal witnesses.

She said Adrienne "had absolutely nothing to hide. . . .  But at the end of the day it was an inquiry into the conduct of Gardai in Donegal, never into Adrienne McGlinchy."
